GSFWC 30th Anniversary Anthology – Two Weeks Left

Posted on April 15, 2016

Call for submissions – GSFWC@30! – Closing to submissions at the end of April.

In 2016, Glasgow SF Writers’ Circle will have been running for thirty years. We have been the starting point, or a home in Glasgow, for a lot of writers over the years, many of whom have gone on to great success in SF and fantasy. We are by now one of the longest-running speculative writers’ groups in Britain. To celebrate the anniversary, we aim to publish an anthology of work from present and past members.

We intend the anthology to be a showcase of work from GSFWC members, and we plan to publish a mix of longer-form stories, flash stories and poetry. GSFWC writers have published work in all the genres of speculative fiction, and so we are not going to limit the anthology; SF, Fantasy, Horror, Slipstream, let’s see it.

We would prefer to see new stories, although we will consider reprints. The editors will work with authors if we really like a piece but feel it could use more work.

Editors – Elaine Gallagher, Cameron Johnston, Neil Williamson

Deadline – April 30th 2016

Words – up to 5000, no lower limit; prose and poetry

Limits to submissions – it’s okay to send multiple submissions at once, but don’t take the piss.

Payment – No payment up front, we are doing this for the love and to celebrate the anniversary of GSFWC. If the anthology makes any money then we will distribute royalties.
